When the temperature rises, the vapor pressure of a liquid also rises. At boiling point, the vapor pressure becomes equal to the atmospheric pressure. A liquid with lower vapor pressure will require higher temperature to attain its vapor pressure will require higher temperature to attain its vapor pressure equal to the atmospheric pressure.
