The main properties of magnetic lines of force are: <br> 1.The magnetic lines of force are in the form of concentric circle around the conductor but as their distance from the conductor increases , the curvature of lines of force decreases. <br> 2. The direction of the magnetic lines of force reverses, if the direction of flow of current in the conductor reverses. <br> 3. With the increase of current in the conductor the number of lines of force or the ' intensity of magnetic field also increases. <br> 4. The magnetic lines of force near the wire are nearly circular, especially at the points where the current enters or leaves the coil. <br> 5.
